Who is Maria Montessori?

Born in 1870, Dr. Maria Montessori was an Italian physician and educator, and notably the first woman in Italy to earn a medical degree. She developed her groundbreaking educational method in the early 20th century, designed for children from age two through high school. At the time of her passing in 1952, she was actively working on extending her approach to the college level.

What is the Montessori Method

Montessori education is a holistic approach that nurtures the full potential of a child—socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. Guided by specially trained Montessori teachers, children engage with unique, hands-on learning materials designed to support sensory development and individualized learning.
